i have bought new sata dvd drive and i connected it in my system and now the drive is not detected in my computer

The title "Guide: If you installed a new disk but the system can't see it " sounds like your description. You may simply need to partition and format the drive.

I would check the power connector and SATA cable. Try another SATA cable or try to connect the drive to another machine if available
