I bought the B450 Gaming Plus Max what CPU should I get

I was thinking of getting the Ryzen 9 3900X but I was still thinking about it, so I started looking for motherboards and I looked up videos and stumbled across the B450 Gaming Plus Max and since it was Farley cheap so I bought it, and now I'm not sure if the board will handle that CPU. So if you have any suggestions or any other CPUs that would be good for this board preferably AMD pleas tell me.

Buy 3900XT, it uses 20 watts less than 3900x and max frequency is 100MHz higher.
or go for 5900X , B450 will support it.
I have a B450M with 3900x. same chipset as yours, just smaller in size.

It depends what your uses are.

If you're not using this for work based stuff requiring the max amount of threads the 3900x is a waste of money and the 3700x instantly becomes a better choice.

If its mainly for gaming then 8c/16t isn't going to become limited any time soon.

As long as you don't OC the 3900x it should be fine on that motherboard.

And since terribly little can be gained by manually overclocking any Ryzen 3000 that's no big loss.
