I bought the sims medieval and it wont let me play,what do i do?

i've downloaded my game sims medieval then i click on it but it won't come up i don't know if it is because i have sims3 installed or what

How did you download it? Steam/Origin?Torrent?

There will be no support for Torrents here, Both steam and origin should have the game and expansions legit for you to purchase(I think they may be on sale on steam right now.).
