I went to an auction and I thought I was buying two empty Netshelter Server racks. It wasn't until I brought them to my warehouse that I realized they were full of Advanced Clustering Technologies cluster servers and storage systems. Also Mellanox infiswitch and Netgear switch. I contacted ACT and they said they are familiar with the racks. They are two years old but never used. The customer paid them hundreds of thousands of dollars for the system.

Anyone interested? What can I do with this?

Sell them for more than you paid.

Do a DETAILED inventory. Every model number, every serial number. Cable types, optics, etc. Your best bet is to sell them in pieces. That will turn them quickest.
Support cost for a production user may kill any desire to use them as a cluster.

Having been to a great many auctions myself I have to ask, who goes to an auction and then doesn't inspect the very item/s they intend to bid on? Had you done this you would have known before you placed your first bid exactly what you were bidding on.

Online auction. The description was brand new in the box Netshelter server rack, which is what I needed. I only paid a couple hundred bucks. I just got lucky.

FYI my son is a submariner. Currently on the USS Rhode Island out of King's Bay. Go Navy!
