[SOLVED] I bought what I believe to be a PCI midi synthesiser card but I don't know.

Originally bought it thinking it was an old sound card, but probably not. Looking for someone to identify this thing, all I know is it says Wave Blaster on the top right, has a midi/game controller port, and is dated 1998. Bought it at goodwill for a few dollars a couple of years ago and I'm wondering what it might be worth if anything.

I think that is just a soundcard.

Waveblaster connects to it.

Yeah someone told me it was an ESS Solo-1 which is apparently an MS DOS sound card. pretty cool though

I think you might be right. If I google ESS-Solo-1 there are some cards that look very similar.....not exact but very similar....and I'm not surprised they aren't exact as many times there are many different layouts for various options etc for boards.

There's also the possibility that it's one of the Chinese knockoffs just with an ESS chip, apparently that happened a lot too.
