I broke a secure clip to my ram on motherboard

I broke a secure clip on mother board for ram. It's not currently in use but is it unsafe or unesable now?

well that RAM slot could be dead, but the current slots should be fine. you could try to test it, obviously you will have to watch out for the stick coming loose now.

I'll just keep my two four gigs and throw in an eight in the other channel. I just game so I don't need much. One tab is still on but I'd rather not risk one falling and damaging components
