I broke the pins on mini usb | External HDD

Hi, as the title says i just broke the connector for usb on my external hdd with power supply. Now i have already tried hooking it up to my PC but it's not responding. What can I do ? How do I get the power on it without that board that was plugged in in the case.

putting that in a system and connecting the SATA Power, and SATA data cables will make it work. the long section with the gold pins is the power connector, the shorter with gold pins is the data cable.

Tried this and it isnt working. It was disc with external power required

you hooked up both cables to the hard drive and turned on the computer and windows will not see the drive?
does the BIOS recognise that the hard drive is connected?
