I broke wifi

Ok so just built new pc and runs fine. Pluged into router works good. Then I get a large eithernet cable so wire through roof to connect my pc to router from a different room. It’s retardedly long, across my house and maybe used a quarter off it. After couple min it stops working. I unplug it reset router multiple times still not working. And the dame thing nocked out the wifi do when I go on my phone it connects, but the. Says there’s no internet. I’ve reset my router multiple times and now using data on my phone to ask this.

have you tried the hard reset button on the router?? is the router firmware up to date. to kill a router you have to have hit the wire and short it back into the router.
