Here's what I'd be inclined to do. Turn off the printer and remove the cartridges then turn the (now empty) printer back on, let it have it's fit about being empty. Turn the printer off again, replace the cartridges and power back up, the printer should go through it's setup routine. I can't say that's the best way to do this, just what I would do here. Just curious, the HP Toolbox doesn't give the option to align print heads? It's been a while but I do seem to remember a diagnostics tool in there, that may help
