I can’t get the RTX 2060 to work!

I updated my bios and set up my RTX 2060, and the VGA redlight comes on and the screen says “plug in correct PCIe power cable(s) for this graphics card. I plugged in everything correctly.

I have a MSI H110M gaming and a i7 8700.

Please help

What is the make/model of your power supply?

Do you have the proper 8-pin (or 6+2-pin) PCIe connector (from the PSU to the GPU) fully inserted (locked in) into the RTX 2060's connector/socket?

I have the EVGA 750 BQ. And I was using the wrong cord, thank you.

But I realized I still had my
i5 6600k in. So I switched out with my i7 8700 and the fans turn on for a split second along with the CPU red light.

What am I doing wrong?
