I can access my router settings page but not my modem

So both my modem and my router have the default ip address of 192.168.1.1.

However I changed the ip address on my router to 192.168.0.1 to see if that was the conlfict.
Even though I changed the router's ip I still can not access my modem settings page and I just really have no idea what to do to be honest I am quite new to networking.

Can someone help and guide me step by step what I have to do to be able to see both my modem settings page and my router settings page without having to unplug my computer from the router and plug it into the modem?
The modem is running in bridge mode if it helps.

Are you sure that you used correct login details for the modem page. Also, if you get 404 error, try switching browser

Yeah I am sure, because when I unplug the router and plug my modem back in it works and I can get to the modem.

Switching browser does not work.

No I do not think I changed the dhcp range I did not realise I was meant to do that.

Erm for someone new what is it and what do I have to do to change it?

Did you change both your router IP and your dhcp range, or did you just change the router IP?

Is your router set to auto dhcp for wan?

I found it under LAN but yes DHCP is enabled, it does look like it automatically changed itself to 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.254.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Okay it was because DHCP on my modem was turned off, that is why I could not access it. Heh well now I know.
