I can hear my Self Through Mic

Title says it all, i can hear myself talking, idk how to fix it, i connected the headset to the mobo since my cases headphone and microphone jacks don't work although i connected them.

Windows key + R to open up run command and then run "mmsys.cpl" without the "" and go the Recording tab, right click on your microphone and click Properties, then go to the Listen tab and UNTICK "Listen to this device".

I have tried that already and it wasn't even checked, idk what to do, i hear some noise, and i hate it when i am talking and i can hear myslef. is there any other way? i connected the ports to the motherboard and not to the front ports of the case, i am using g230 headphone just fyi.
