I can not connect to my Ethernet on my desktop?

So I've checked on my laptop where the ethernet does give a connection, but on my desktop it takes forever while it says identifying, and then it arrives at unidentified network. No internet. I can not run ipconfig /renew oddly enough, it just seems to get stuck. Any idea?

Windows 10 BTW.

did you run ipconfig/release first?
Do you have an xbox wireless controller connected?
