Hi there!

I've been having a problem since very long and that is:

I can not watch IPTV on my PC via Ethernet cable or Ethernet modem, but when I switch to Wifi on the same computer, with the same router and with same settings I get my IPTV to work.

Now, its fine with the WiFi IPTV. But the problem arises when some other (my brother, sisters) connect to the Wifi also. After them connecting, the IPTV signal becomes distorted and picture quality is disturbed to a very high degree.

So, please tell me some way to get it (IPTV) running through Ethernet Adapter.

I am using Broadcom AN1020-25 ADSL2+ router, Windows 8.1, and a USB to Ethernet Adapter.

I would be grateful if you solve out the issue for me.

Check the Control Panel

Hardware >> Device Manager and see if it thinks the device is working properly

Use cNet Bandwidth Meter to compare speeds for Ethernet and Wifi

Did you load the driver for the Ethernet port or did you update the driver for the Ethernet port with the wrong driver?

Why are you using this: USB to Ethernet Adapter?

Your motherboard must have an Ethernet port?

Ethernet Device has no problem. Internet is working absolutely fine on Ethernet Adapter. Its just the IPTV service that has problem.

I think this is something related to Multicasting or something about which I have no idea.

Because even to run IPTV via WiFi adapter I had to change Multicast Rate of WiFi to 6MB from Auto in router configuration.

I have two Ethernet cards installed in my motherboard. But as soon as I updated to Windows 8 they stopped working due to compatibility issues so I had to use a USB to Ethernet Adapter.
