I can not see External hard drive in device manager,

It shows in my computer (xp) but not in device or disc mamagement.

So, you can access the hdd without problem but it doesn't show in the device manager or in the disk manager ? What are you trying to do on the hard drive ? Disk management should only be used for internal hard drives (create new partitions, delete, extend etc.).
