I just built my own computer and everything is working perfectly. There are 4 SATA connections coming off the power supply cables. if I try to run 3 hard drives and no DVD Drive it won't find the C Drive and the computer does not boot. if I run the computer with two hard drives and a DVD Drive all on SATA everything works perfectly. Right now all I have Sata channels 1, 2 and 3 being used as c, d, and DVD. I plugged in a cable to SATA channel 6 to use for the final hard drive. And after I plug that one in it says please insert master disk or cannot find boot disk. Is it impossible to run three hard drives or what???

The mb is Asus. In the bios all 6 sata channels are set up default as ide. The other options are raid and ahci but I just left the defaults at ide. Will I need jumpers maybe? The hdds didn't come with jumpers but a relative of mine seems to think I need to set jumpers on one of the HDDs.

I moved the SATA cable to channel 4 and everything works normally with a third hard drive so that may have been it all along. everything else works wonderful in the computer no problems or issues
