You will need a CPU if you want a better GPU. Also, what power supply do you have? If you have the stock PSU you will probably need a new one.

What about,

i7-2600 or 3770 *Actually, you will need to double check CPU compatibility. I cant' immediately find support for that mobo)

Will a 3 gen work on a 2nd gen motherboard

Personally think I would look at a refurb full sized computer with a ~5th gen i5. Pull your GT750 and 'maybe' your RAM? I know 2nd gen to 4th gen still used DDR3....then save some money up for a new PSU/GPU combo.

2nd-gen motherboars typically require s bios update. Some prebuilts like Dell and HP won't allow certain CPUs because they have their own chip sets.
