I can\'t get my CRT to load a screen

I can't get my CRT to load a screen. It says "there is no signal" from the computer but the cable is in and OK.

PC turned on? Reseat the cable (at both ends if the monitor has a removable cable)? Try a new cable? Try the PC with another monitor? Try another PC with your monitor?

You have a few things to check before figuring out where the issue is.

I pulled and replugged all plugs. Finally unplugged everything including PC. Began to re-plug in sequence and restarted. A screen came up so I went to safe mode and check everything. I don't know what it was but I am going to take it as a waring of things to come and off load everything I have on the PC to my TB memory and hope it lasts for 3 more months when I can change to a new computer.
