I can`t lift the old cartridge out

I can`t lift out the empty cartridge please help

Have a look at the manual for your printer -- probably on a CD which came with it or online at the maker's website.

yup. consulting the manual or even a new ink cartridge box shows a diagram on how to install them.

i know for a fact mine has to be tilted forward to "unlock it" then it can be pulled out.
