Question I can use the internet just fine, but game servers wont connect

A few days ago, my laptop stopped connecting to all game servers. For instance, if I'm in a discord call, I can talk to my friends just fine, but as soon as the game loads and I get to the main title screen, they can no longer hear me, and I cant connect to the game server. I know it's not discord because I tried it with skype and without any call at all. I've tried restarting the router over and over and running games with the firewall disabled, but nothing changed. Frustrated and need some help

Make and model router?

The router's logs may provide some clues if logs are available and enabled.

Who has full admin rights to the router? You will need help from that person to look at the logs and correct any applicable configuration issues.

hey, sorry I just saw this. We've got a separate router that I completely forgot about so I used that one instead and the problem went away. I suppose I'll do with this one for now and figure out what the issue is with the other one later

Router WiFi radios don't last forever and, if it's a Linksys, you might as well save yourself a lot of wasted time and confusion, and just pitch it in the trash right now.
