I changed the authentication method from HTTP to HTTPS on my asus RT-AC68U.

Since changing this setting, I can no longer access my Asus router from IE 11, whether from HTTP or HTTPS. However, al of my devices can access the internet just fine from the router. The router is the gateway and I can ping it.

I power cycled my router, but no luck. I would like to find a solution if possible, without having to reset my router.

Any ideas?

I found the issue - if anyone finds themselves making this change to add security to their router - remember to add the port in the address bar when signing in. The default port is 8443.

So if your routers IP Address is 192.168.1.1, you will type in 192.168.1.1:8443

I try your situation that changing the authentication method from http to https of AC-68U. you can't login with 192.168.1.1:8443 because of it is https.
Try to input "https://192.168.1.1:8443". :wahoo: Hope its helpful.
