I cannot access the data stored on my Vertabim

I accidentally dropped my Vertabtim hard disk as the connection has always been very loose and it just slid out. Now I cant access the data stored on it. The blue light still comes on but there is not buzzing sound and is not recognised when connected to my laptop?

Sorry for prior blank post. I assume you are talking Verbatim and not
Vertabtim as posted, and it is the USB external drive ?

If so, there is probably a loose connection at the data cable inside the enclosure. Unplug it from the computer. The drive removes quite easily with usually four screws removed.
