I had been living with parents and my internet was fine and my computer worked amazing, I moved out and in my new place the my pc cannot use the internet, my computer connects and it even says internet access. On the off chance it does let my computer get any internet it is a bare minimum with a max download speed of 150kb/s and it is a huge problem because i game, my laptop works just fine at home and does not have any issues with my internet. My pc even works if i bring it over to a friends house, ive been stumped and havn't seen anyone else with this issue so far and am in dire need of help!!

well i am connected through a wifi connection, and when i run a diagnostics it says the default gateway is not available, and what do you mean by isp provider? im sorry i dont really know terminology at all

well my laptop and my cellphone work along with the others who live in my house, their phones and even someone else's computer works. I go through charter internet, it is a wire internet company i believe and i have no chance of getting my computer on an ethernet cable due to location of everything.

i have two computers a desktop and a laptop, sorry i shouldve been more clear. my desktop doesnt work, but my laptop works just fine

Probably this. Is your desktop older? You may need to get a new wireless adapter.

This one would probably work pretty well. It's on a cable so you can move it around some if needed:

Wireless signals are very affected by obstacles. With desktops, if you put the back of it up against a wall or desk, then it blocks most of the signal.
