I cannot get my RAM to run 1866mhz on both sticks of RAM

I have 8gb of ram 4gbx2 and when i want them to run at 1866mhz only one works and turns into single channel i bought the sticks separately at different times.

Try starting with a single stick, and raise the DRAM voltage to 1.55 and the CPU/NB voltage to 1.2, then save, shut down, add the second stick and try again

It doesnt work like that.

May have a bad stick, or they just don't want to play nice together, do both sticks work OK by themselves

I just tested them by themselves and one of the sticks doesnt want to go up to 1866mhz after save&exit there is information that overcklock of the ram failed so i think i need to buy new stick right ?
