I cannot open my Acer netbook?

After receiving my brand new computer-Acer netbook, I opened it and typed my password.
After a while I powered off/switched off. Later, I reopened my netbook. I typed my password. But the netbook did not open. The operating system is Windown 7. How to solve?

Double-check the password. Make sure the NumLock key is not on, sometimes that gets put on during boot and can mess up passwords as what you think are letters are actually coming out numbers.
