I can't change my CPU core ratio.

My CPU: i3-8350K
My motherboard: GIGABYTE H310M H
Everytime i try to put my core ratio higher than 4GHz it just goes back to 4GHz. I can change it freely aslong as it's under 4GHz, but it won't let me go higher? What should i do?

the h310 motherboard does not allow for overclocking you need a Z370 chipset for that.

Your cpu is although has an unlocked multiplier and your mainboard's chipset certainly doesn't have any unlocked multipliers.
