I cant connect dual monitors: gtx 970

i have a gtx 970 and i have tryed to put dvi into the primary monitor and vga into the other one and it does not recognize my other monitor. Both monitors are: asus VS228H-P . please help

Which monitor is it not recognizing, the DVI monitor or the VGA monitor? Also, can you link the GTX 970 card you bought or at least say the brand?

Both monitors are the same, I have plugged both monitors in the computer with dvi and both is working (not at the same time). the problem is the monitors have 1 dvi plug. 1 vga plug and 1 HDMI plug into the monitor. i have tried putting DVI into one one of the monitors and connect both of the monitors with the VGA cable and it wont recognize the one connected to just VGA. what do i have to do to get it working --- also here is the graphics card --- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127832

did you do a detect in displays in control panel when both monitors are connected?

I figured it out, i just had to connect both to DVI, thanks for the help tho guys!
