i can't connect my printer to the computer after it was wiped clean how can i get it back on

Hello someone cleaned/wiped my computer and now i cannot connect my printer or my phone that i had connected to it i tried all usb ports and non of them work as that is what i was told to do by the person who fixed it but nothing both printer and phone worked ok before he took it and wiped everything on it and i don't feel comfortable having someone take over the computer to try and fix the problem as i have done that before and had to get a new computer cause there were too many issues after that

Sounds like the USB drivers are not installed. Check device manager for any flags of drivers not being installed.

The drivers for the printer or phone probably aren't there, although that's strange when you plug them it that Windows doesn't automatically get them.

Do you have the driver cd that came with the printer? If not you can go to their website and download newer drivers there.


Not sure about the phone, even on my very old single core windows 7 laptop all I had to do was plug my cell phone in and windows automatically started getting the drivers.
