Hi,

I can't connect to my Freenas via Windows Explorer, however i can ping it and access the WebGUI. This is only on my desktop PC. My laptop and other PC can access it like normal. When I put \\192.168.0.100 into file explorer, it returns the error message: "Windows cannot access \\192.168.0.100. Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise there might be a problem with your network". Not entirely sure what the problem is here, and would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I would concur that it is probably that specific host does not have the workgroup set consistently.

UPDATE

I've just found the problem; some setting in windows was to allow my PC to communicate with others on the same network. This was turned off. I have since turned it on. Sometimes, i could kick myself. Thanks anyway though, you caused me to remember about that. Cheers
