I can't connect to the internet

I was on my laptop and it over heated and turned itself off I let it cool down for about 10 minuets. When I turned it back on I wasn't connected to the internet and were the wifi bars were there was a box with a cross in the bottom corner and know my internet won't work Help!

Try to not use it for a day maybe it needs to cool completely.

Try turning the wifi button of and on if still not working then reinstall the wifi drivers.
