i cant decide between processors because of graphics cards...

The problem I have is simple I can get the GeForce gtx 980 and intel core i5 4590 or I can get a GeForce gtx 970 with an intel core i7 4790k...
Will the 980 bottleneck the i5?
I want to be prepared for future so that I don't pay much for upgrades and if I take the i5 I will need to upgrade the cpu and mobo..

i5 4590 won't bottleneck that GTX 980. I'd go with the 980 config.

And, if you get a H97 or Z97 motherboard, you can upgrade to the newer broadwell cpus coming out in about a year without replacing the motherboard.

I'd suggest a Z97 motherboard...it will lend a little more "future proofing" than an H97 board will.
