I have an acer aspire v5-471G. Im having issues booting it keep saying operating system not found or a blue screen errors. So i decided to do a reset using a recovery drive. So everything went right it was on acer logo and resetting x%. So i decided to go out came home after 3 to 4 hours. And my laptop was off. I didnt know what happened so i tried to do it again but now when i press reset it keeps saying "insert your windows installation or recovery media to continue". But my recovery drive is connected. And when i try the refresh. It says something like "the drive where windows is installed is lock. Unlock the drive and try again"

If it were me, I'd run Spinrite on it now, but you probably don't have that.

Your best bet now is to purchase another drive, install Windows on it as the only drive in the system, then add your old drive and recover the data you can from it. Once your sure all the data you need is recovered, you can try again to wipe the drive totally and repartition it.

I already saved my important files on my external hard drive. So i did the reset on my pc. i guess my final option now is to reformat it. Is there any chance that my hdd is failing? Cause reformatting it would be a waste of time if my hdd is really failing. I had to reset it cause im getting this operating system not found or a blue screen during start up. I did tests on dskmgr, sfc scan and a software from western digital to check my hdd. And all of them passed and says nothing wrong with my hdd. Or could it be a lose wire? Is that possible?

Yes, your hard drive may be failing. I would install a new one, and once it's up and running go to www.drivehealth.com and install their software (free).
It may take a month or so to get a good baseline of what's normal for your drives, but it will let you know what's going on with them and alert you to failures.
