I cant download ANYTHING on my windows 8 pc!

Any time i try to download something onto my windows 8 pc from off the internet, a message on my screen comes up saying "This app can't run on your PC. To find apps for this PC, open the windows store." Is there anyway i can fix this?

This messages appears if you purchased a tablet running Windows 8 RT. The RT has an ARM processor which will not run any Windows programs. You can only install programs available in the Store. You may need to return the device and buy one that has Windows 8 on it, NOT Windows 8 RT.
