rosewill 700w psu, my friend is building his pc through skype and im helping him, we have not been able to find a 8pin cpu power cable, closest thing we could find was the 6+2 pcie cable, his manual says there is one for processor but he can not find it anywhere. the psu has all the cables built into it.

no it comes from the psu as a 8 pin, then it goes to another connecter which is a 4 pin. the manual shows a 8 pin for the processor, as well as a 4 pin so i imagin that this is for both kinds of motherboards.

Most current power supplies have an 8-pin connector which can be split into two, 4-pin connectors. Both are for the CPU on different motherboards.

What you appear to have is BOTH on the same main cable with the 4-pin only connecting to some of the 8-pin lines. The companies looked at this and said "Hey, why not just make a splittable 8-pin instead?"
