I had Windows 11 installed on my Dell laptop from the update from Windows 10.
Recently I noticed that my time is off an hour after DST took effect. I googled on how to get this fixed and following its suggestions i had no luck at all. It says to look for the DST tab on the right side, but I looked and saw nothing and no toggle switch. Then I noticed that this was a Windows 10 setting, because it kept mentioning Windows 10 and not 11...is this possible after an upgrade?

Regardless, research says the same fix for both systems. BTW, the dates are accurate....so i believe this has all to do with DST not showing or working.

Change it to what zone? Shouldn't it matter that it match's mine so we would have the same date and time, and why should that be the remedy? Ever since I can remember, computers took care of this automatically for years with no problems.

Like my post said, "couldnot Find the daylight saving area to turn it on. All other options are ON.

it looks exactly like your photo with the exception of that first line where yours shows the actual wordss of daylight savings, mine does not, it only says "set time automatically" and the switch, in fact all switchs are "ON". I thought all systems were suppose to be identical...why don't mine show what is on yours? Makes one go batty. I even entered 'daylight savings" in the search box of settings and nothing appears. I did notice that i was offered an update, so i thought maybe it will appear in this update which was the 22h2 version. I restarted and still no tab showing about daylight.

Can you please show screenshot from your date&time settings?

Switch "Set time zone automatically" to OFF and
specify correct time zone.

If you have set regional settings wrong, then set time zone automatically will not work correctly.
And if you live in a large country spanning multiple time zones, then it also may not work correctly.

Well I finally got the daylight line like yours. I first did as u suggested to turn off time automatically and left my time zone on to Eastern, rebooted and was greeted with a multitude of updating Firmware. Then when that completed the laptop turned off. I rebooted and sure enough this time and for the first time I actually saw Daylight savings line like your photo showed and I turned it ON and now I am back to normal time. Did the automatic updating Firmware corrected this? How does one know that one has to update Firmware? A warning should come up when looking for a line such as I was, and be warned to try update your Firmware. Thanks!

I suspect the update was coincidental to the change you made in the settings. Not directly related.
As an after thought, what happens about Novemeber when we Fall back an hour? Do I leave as its setup now, or do i have to wait til then to see what happens? In other words do i have that line turned off, permanently?

We still haven't seen screenshot with your settings.

If you have setting "Adjust for daylight saving time automatically" turned off,
then time on your pc will not be adjusted by 1h in November.
