Question i can't get afterburner to show the applied overclock on my laptop

Hello, I've been trying to overclock my alienware laptop for months now but it wont display any clocks over the stock boost speed after i apply the overclock. cooling is not an issue, i already tried disabling the integrated graphics. can anyone help? thanks.

Are you trying to OC the CPU or GPU.
I'm assuming GPU...
Can you please post some System specifications?

yes i'm trying to overclock the gpu. the cpu is an intel I5 7300hq, and the gpu is a gtx 1050 TI

So basically the clock is applied and you don't get the oc readings just the stock one?

yes, it wont boost past 1658mhz
