I can't get crowned!

What's the deal?

My 16th Dwarven Healer has sacced something like 20+k gold, two or three
artifacts, mounds of excellent items, tons of blessed stomafilla, and I
cannot seem to go past Very Close.

I did some guidebook scumming, and figured I couldn't pre-crown myself due
to the number of artifacts generated, so I got L+, went to pray... still
nothing.

The only thing I can think is that I got doomed/cursed from a Karmic, but I
don't know how to get this removed - lower my piety by praying a ton, sac
again to get back and have him remove it? Wearing the Ankh didn't seem to
help this either. No potions of insight, so I can't check this at the
moment.

Make sure you're not wearing anything that always curses you, like the
black torc or executor.

It just might not show. Have you tried praying? Remember to be at the right
alignment before that, though!

I know this is simple, but I was *really* bored at one of my Gray elven
Druids just to find out this bug... again. 🙁

BTW, thanks for the hint about 40Tons. As I'm not that interested in boats
or Lighthouses, I am fine with Invidual.net. 😉
