Question I can't get FC 24 to run ?

Hi guys,

Has anyone had any difficulty getting FC 24 to run, I'm having an issue getting it to launch on my computer. If I click play, it displays the game splash screen, waits a while and then returns back to the EA app. I had the same issue with FIFA 23 when that was released and in the end refunded it. My full system specs are below:

i9 10850K
32GB RAM
Nvidia 3080
Windows 10 Home

Please note, secure boot is enabled, the game is installed on an SSD and I've checked that the game and anti cheat are allowed through the firewall.

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)


check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool and if available, update the firmware

My userbenchmark results are here:

To be clear, I have no performance problems and have no issues with any other game. I've also run memtest before when I first built the machine, I have no stability problems.

There are no issues with any of the drives. I know other people that could not get FIFA 23 to work either, I think the issue is most likely due to the DRM or Anti Cheat, I was curious if anyone else had ran into the issue and resolved it.

I will check the integrity of Windows and try a clean boot.

Have you tried repairing the game files via verifying their integrity? On the firewall did you check that it's allowed through the Windows Defender Firewall, or the router firewall? Did you try setting the game to Administrator mode? Are you using the latest graphics driver, or at least the one that supports the game?

Yes I tried repairing the game, it found no issues. I checked it's allowed on my firewall, I don't use the Windows firewall, it's currently disabled, I use Norton's firewall instead. I've also tried running the game as administrator, and yes I have the latest Nvidia drivers.
