I have completly wiped my hdd with a a usb. Waited an hour to wipe it. Now i get ubunto on my flashdrive and it still thinks windows is on it. It wont boot up my flashdrive. I have set removable devices to boot first but it doesnt seem to find linux, its burned on there, I have followed all the instructions and this stupid hard drive is not working for me. It says do you want to start windows normaly, if i continue then it just restarts.

It sounds like any or all of
a: the flash drive isn't properly set up as a bootable volume
b: USB booting isn't enabled in your BIOS
c: while booting, you didn't press the prerequisite key for boot options

there are dozens of tutorials on a and b with a quick google search, and you can search on your motherboard model for the boot options key for its BIOS.

A: It was set up as a bootable volume, thats how you burn the os on the flashdirve
B: All i see is enable removalble booting. Which works with usb, it worked with the hdd wipe program

I don't doubt what you're saying, but it'll help us understand the problem if you describe the steps you took.

A: How did you make the USB drive bootable?

C: Check boot order. Put the USB key at the top if necessary. Generally if your computer detects a bootable volume you can skip this step.
