I cant get my sims 1 game to work

I had installed some old sims 1 games onto my laptop and I've managed to get them to play. then when I got out of the game, I went to put some sims 1 custome content onto the games and when i went to play them again, the screen wouldn't open after I clicked on "Play" on the title screen. I really need some help to get the sims 1 games to work. I really want to play them and I haven't been playing the games in a long time.

if your talking about the first sims, thats a real old game. Did you try right clicking on the icon and running it on admin to make sure windows is using the right edition to play it?
