I have two different displays:
Viewsonic VX2768-2KP and MSI G274QPF E2.

How can i get them to do 3840 x 1440p @ 144hz using Nvidia Surround?
Right now it can only do 3840 x 1080 @ 120hz.
I downloaded CRU (Custom Resolution Utility) but not sure how to do the settings.

To enable NVIDIA Surround, all displays must use exactly the same timing. Therefore only formats that the two monitors have in common, which are completely identical, will show up as options. 1920 × 1080 @ 120 Hz is identical between the two probably because they are using standard CTA-861 timing, that's why 3840 × 1080 at 120 Hz is available as an option. However there are no standards specifically for 144 Hz or for 2560×1440 formats.

In CRU you need to open each monitor and look at the timings. They may be listed in "Detailed Resolutions" at the top, or (if they are higher than 655 Mpx/s, such as 1440p 240 Hz or 4K 144 Hz) then they will be in the CTA-861 extension block at the bottom.

Find the desired format and open it to look at the detailed timings.

Change the timings so they are identical on both monitors. Pick one to use as a reference and change the others to match that one.

Once finished, click OK on everything and run the Restart64.exe in the CRU folder to restart the graphics driver. Then the new options should show up.

If something goes wrong, run Reset.exe in the CRU folder to revert everything back to defaults. You may end up needing to use a different monitor as the "reference" settings, if the others won't accept the timings you tried initially.
