Question i cant install any games on my external hard drive.

everytime i install a video game on my external hard drive it just stops downloading. The Safely remove hardware and eject media icon pops up in the left corner. My file explorer pops up as well, and it shows me my hard drive. I have tried everything and nothing works!
I already formatted the hard drive.
I scanned it for any problems and everything is fine.
This is my second hard drive i got because the same problem happened to the old one that i had. That proves that its my pc and not the hard drive that isnt working.

Things to know:
I have windows 10.

Please help me, i have tried everything!
I even contacted seagate support, you guys are my last chance.

Extenal as in USB? Try disabling power management or turn off 'allow this device to be turned off' in the USB Root hubs in device manager on the Advanced power Tab.

I think theres something wrong with my new pc. It wont let any external drives work 🙁
I have checked the USB plug and its 3.0 port
I have thought about buying a real hard drive and installing it into the pc myself, but im scared that it wont work as the other ones

i managed to download call of duty warzone, and the exact same thing happened.

It makes the windows sound, and then it just crashes???
After that it opens up the file explorer with my external hard drive. The safely remove hardware and eject media icon pops up in the left corner as well.
I know that the hard drive isnt broken cause this is my second external harddrive this has happened to! (PLEASE HELP)
