I just finished building a gaming rig, and i installed windows 8.1. Everything went well, until i reset the machine and got the error 0xc00000e. All atempts to fix the error failed, so i assumed there was an error in the os installation or in the harware. I cleaned both of my drives, clean slate. Now Im trying to install my os again, but right when i turn on my pc, it goes straight to the bios, without giving me a chance to use my installation disc. Whats going on? Any help would be amazing!

Mother Board: ASROCK Z79E-ITX
CPU: Intel i5-4690k
Graphics Card: MSI GTX 970
Operating System: Windows 8.1
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
SSD: OCZ ARC 100 240GB

That worked for allowing me to load the os, but the 0xc00000e error came again afterwards

Sounds like you may have a corrupted boot loader... Maybe do the reset cmos again and try to re-install the OS.

You can also try:

1.Boot from your install disc

2.Click on Repair your computer after you go through language, time etc.

3.Select your Windows installation drive, which is usually C:\, and click Next

4.Choose Command Prompt when the System Recovery Options box appears

5.Write the following command and press Enter afterwards:

bootrec /rebuildbcd

I wrote the command and it still gives me the error on boot. i can log on by holding F11 and choosing which drive to boot off of, but no matter which one i choose, once im in and i hit reset or turn it off and on, i still get the error message.
