So, recently I got the Asus vivobook S and i'm trying to install Windows 10 which was in the box with the laptop itself. Also it has linux installed on it. Since the laptop doesn't have a dvd drive I got an external one and plugged it in with the USB. I enter the BIOS settings, set the external drive as a boot option with the Windows 10 disk in it, wait a bit and then it follows up with an error:
[ 1.243351] nouveau 000:01:00.0: bus: MMIO read of 00000000 FAULT at 601344

While it's possible to install Linux & Windows on the same PC, it's far from a trivial thing to do because they use different file systems. I personally ran into so much trouble that I ended up formatting my hard drive and reinstalling Windows from scratch. Then I put Linux on a USB3 flash drive and can boot it up ready to use in under a minute.
