i cant install windows 7

i bought a new computer without os, when i try to instal windows 7 it shuts down.
i did not build it a company did. but it shuts down after 5 secounds and then turns back on. i do have my windows 7 64-bit inside the cd-room, but it wont install. i have used this cd on my last computer.

I would be inclined to use another machine to build a test CD and run diagnostics on the machine in question. This link mentions a few: http://lifehacker.com/5551188/best-computer-diagnostic-tools . I know that Hiren's is quite popular.

So see if the diagnostics find a bug in the hardware. Also, if you know how, open the machine and make sure that all the cables are well-seated first. Good luck.

Did you even get to the installation screen? Or did it just shutdown after the bios screen?

You should give us your PC hardware specs but I suspect either the PSU to be at fault otherwise the CPU is not properly seated or is lacking thernmal paste.
