hi all i,m new here so hello all ive got an old raddy 9700pro and i,m upgrading to the 1900xt soon but at moment i cant open up the ctylsyt control centre i have the latest driver installed and its coming up with an error on screen what is causing this i have un installed the drivers and reinstalled them but no joy can anyone help me really need to get it working thanks for any help

Microsoft .Net framework is not optional, you need it for the CCC.

uhh dude whats your mobo and you do know that the 9700 is agp and that the x1900 is pci-e right so i think there might be a problem unless you have the asrock sata2 😀

i would uninstall those driver. they eat up alot of your processor

take a look at this site for a better set and it is a offical set.
omegadrivers.net.
it has alot better features than the ccc and eat about 80% less than ccc

howd i all cheers for the reply i,ve got the as rock board yeh its a good un and i,m usin a athlon x4400 x 2 with 1gig ram and 1 ide hard drive and 1 sata drive and the seasonic 600w so i would be better getting rid of ati drivers and using the omega ones ? shall i still need need net framework 1.1 ?? and if say i,ve managed to scrape some pennies for a new 1900xt will there be a big diference to the 9700pro i,ve got ??cheers all

Either install MS .Net framework to make the CCC work, or ditch that version of Catalyst for the "lite" version without CCC.

And yes, that difference would be HUGE. But for games, not standard browsing or office apps. But gameplay would increase 3-fold.

briliant ive downloaded the net framework and it has solved it cheers all spent ages runnin tests and i had a feeling it was software cheers all a 3 fold increase in gaming briliant think i will get a 1900xt unless the 5900 nvidia is better er well better wait and see thanks for all the help guys

I laugh at your innocence. A 1900xt will beat the crap out of a 5900. Physically and in benchmarks. Maybe you meant 7900?
