i cant open word documents

i had both 2016 and 2007 versions of Microsoft Office. i uninstalled the 2016 version because i had a hard time using it. and now i cant open my word documents. the user account control or configuration keeps on showing and after that, the dialog box with "There was a problem sending the command to the program" in it.

now, i can open a word document but i still need to open a new blank page then click open file...

how can i open it directly?

reinstall MS office, or get a new free program renown to do the same identical work MS Office does

personally I use LibreOffice.

You couldn't have both 2016 and 2007 on at the same time.
Try the fix it uninstall 2016

then reinstall the 2007 version or like Paladin said use LibreOffice
