Im trying to port forward and for some reason none of them are working! I go to a port checker and it is still blocked. I have been trying to port forward through frontier.

If you need any specific info, please just list them and ill send them!

Solution
I personally don't like port checker websites. I have seen too many false negatives. I prefer testing with a cell phone or a buddy.

1. Test your server from inside your network. This would mean connecting to it from another computer at your home or a cell phone on the WiFi (yes, I'm assuming you have another computer or WiFi). If it works, great ... if not, then we have problems other than port forwarding. So, get that server working!

2. Test your server from outside your network. Take your phone off WiFi or call a buddy (sorry, txt a buddy ... who calls anymore?). If you can't connect then your port forwarding is messed up (slight chance of firewall on the computer stopping the connection, but I don't see that too often)...

Common problems ...
Port forward pointing to the wrong IP address. This is especially an issue if your not using a static IP address for your server or MAC IP binding.
Port forward using the wrong ports. Normally the internal and external ports are the same ... at a minimum, the internal port must match the port for the server you running.
Port forwarding UDP when you need TCP or visa versa ... just forward both.
Trying to port forward when you have multiple routers ... lots of people get a 2nd router to get WiFi to the other end of the house. That's fine, but you have to port forward on both (or put the 2nd router in bridge mode so just have 1 big network instead of 2) if your server is behind the 2nd router.

Let us know if this helps.

BTW, what kind of server are you running ... some servers require special forwarding.
