I have xfinity, and I've been trying to port forward my minecraft server. I add the port and and it goes back to the list of every port and it's not there. It's really annoying and I need help asap

Port forwarding is for directing traffic from the internet onto your internal network. It is not for directing traffic around your internal network. I would suggest that if you're having trouble connecting to your minecraft server it's because you have not opened the port on your server (made an allow rule for port 25565 or whatever port you configure minecraft for).

Well no, my problem is, I put everything in correctly, atleast I put it in the way that the person in the video put it in as, and text pops up and says, "Failure, please check your inputs". Or it just won't do anything and on the top there will be text that reads, "Please add a rule for portforwarding services

I think this might be a problem, on the port forward page, it says ivp6 and ipv4, so Im pretty sure it means I have to enter both, but I don't use ivp6, and if I check my ipv6, it shows an ip that doesn't fit/meet the requirements of the boxes I'm supposed to enter it in
