I can't recover my lost password

I have this old laptop and forgot the password, Now, I should be able to open up the command prompt when starting in safee mode but it won't, it just brings me to the user selectiong screen, so I decided to use my windows 7 setup disk and to boot from there but again, nothing. Even if i make my cd-dvd the only booting option in the BIOS, I don't get the option to boot from cd, it just tells me to use an availiable booting device and to boot from there.

I tried several USB softwares to recover my password but again, I can't seem to boot from USB, and when I choose the otion to reset the password, in the user selecting screen, it keeps telling me my usb is not a PW recovery disk. And I don't want to pay the 20 bucks Microsoft asks for their software...

Sorry, we don't help with circumventing password-protection as we have no way of knowing that you are authorised to access the computer in question.
